ACP Grossbond A2 Premium is used for facing facades of buildings for various purposes in structures of ventilated facades and window slopes.
Fire safety is one of the main properties of ventilated facades. Cladding and insulating layer during combustion can release substances that greatly affect the intensity of the fire. To reduce the spread of fire is supposed to install fire cutoffs of non-combustible materials. Fireresistant aluminum composite panels Grossbond A2, due to the high content of additional mineral components – flame retardants – achieve high fire resistance.

Sphere of application
Grossbond A2 fireproof aluminum composite panels are recommended for application in ventilated facades to install window jambs as part of fire barriers. The perimeter of window and door openings, walls and corner areas and the presence of fire escapes are needed to be taken into account to accurately obtain the required number and space of fire barriers.Fireproof frames should be designed down to the smallest performance detail in a ventilated facade system. A fire barrier should not completely block the airflow, so it should be perforated. However the important nuance that is frequently overlooked is that even with perforations being provided a fire barrier greatly affects the airflow in the gap. So to avoid excessive moistening, allowance should always be made for a fire barrier in the design of the structure. The heat of combustion of the inner layer of fire-resistant ACP Grossbond A2 is almost 2-3 times less than the requirements for low-combustible facade materials, and its properties are close to foreign non-combustible analogues.

PVDF is a coating consisting of polyvinylidene fluoride (70%) and acrylic (30%). This material is resistant to ultraviolet rays and it does not practically fade. It has a smooth glossy surface. PVDF is resistant to mechanical impact. As the most durable coating, it has widely applications in aggressive environments.
Polyester is a coating that can be used in a variety of climatic conditions. It has a glossy surface. The prime coat is polyester paint having good color stability.
Nowadays building exterior finishing with Grossbond FR composite panels is an innovative and popular application. ACP’s can be both curved and smooth-surfaced with a wide range of colors. It sets the scene for original and advantageous architectural design solutions. The use of ventilated facades offers a host of advantages, since in addition to relative simplicity this finishing option provides additional performance. Buildings lined with aluminum composite panels keep the warmth indoors and are also highly moisture-and-soundproof.
Aluminum composite panels can be used in airports and health facilities because they shield electromagnetic waves. They are used to clad gas stations, various road infrastructure facilities and tunnels.
Grossbond FR ACP’s are certified to construction materials fire hazard class KM1 and are classified into group G1 (fire-retardant). These panels are manufactured for buildings of all fire resistance ratings and all structural and functional fire hazard classes. A curtain wall ventilated facade system lined with Grossbond FR aluminum composite material is rated to fire hazard class K0. The calorific value of the material is 10.08 -10.63 MJ/kg.
